Provided general psychotherapy services to families, couples, adolescents, children and individuals in English and Spanish. Provided counseling in the areas of trauma, loss and grief, sexual abuse and incest, addictions, communication skills, coping skills, stress management, depression, anxiety, chronic illness, family life cycle transitions, relationship issues, crisis counseling, parenting skills.

Co-facilitated group therapy to individuals with cancer and family support members. Provided facilitation in the areas of illness, chronic pain, death and dying, self-care, stress management, anger management, grief and loss. Also provided individual psychotherapy and facilitated relaxation and visualization groups. Attended weekly staff development and training seminars. Attended weekly group and individual supervision.

Provided general psychotherapy services to outpatient day program participants working in recovery from chemical and alcohol dependency. Attended staff development and training seminars and received weekly individual supervision.

Provided outpatient counseling services as lead and co-therapist to low-income Spanish- speaking and bilingual families, couples, and individuals. Clinical setting. Conducted initial intake interviews and assessment. Provided counseling in areas of family issues, relationships, sexual abuse, addictions, depression, anxiety, recovery from trauma and loss. Attended weekly group supervision and training seminars, maintained client files.

Duties included, processing and filing of legal documents, research, maintaining and scheduling legal calendar, trial preparation assistance, telephone, correspondence, client scheduling and maintaining files and updates.

Facilitator of support groups for visually-impaired diabetics. Assisted in training for independent living for visually-impaired population.

Participated in reviewing current legislation and provisions for independent living resources for the disabled.

Participated in activities providing services and support specific to the needs of the Spanish-speaking community.

Board of Directors. Duties included chairing several fundraising events, spokesperson and presenter for the Association including presentations to United Way, Kiwanis Club, Lions Club and civic community leaders. Assisted in coordinating educational and awareness programs. Participated in public relations with community, community leaders and media.

Research assistant to Dr. Ruth Ross, Topic: Effects of Reagan economics on the elderly and school milk program. Duties included interviews with various City Managers and compling data from city records and other relevant systems and institutions.
