Personal Statement: Within the experience of pain lies the seed of its healing. The sprouting of this seed needs tending in a safe, nurturing environment: safe enough to look at our deepest thoughts and fears. Supported in this process with kindness and compassion we feel fully encouraged to explore our authentic being in all its many shapes and forms. My approach in psychotherapy is a growth-oriented exploration of the self. I provide a safe and comfortable setting where the client can feel witnessed and supported in the development of the whole person, including the intellectual, emotional, mind-body, spiritual and creative aspects of the individual self.

Additional Comments: In addition to Marriage and Family Therapy, I am trained as a theater director, actor, writer, teacher, and presentation skills coach. I provide workshops, coaching and classes for adults and children in a variety of areas including personal development, creativity, acting, creative writing, and public speaking. I have taught summer school and enrichment programs for children through the Barnhart School in Arcadia since 1995 as well as presentation skills courses to graduate and undergraduate students at Caltech since 1999. As the founder of Just Stand Up and Talk, I also offer private coaching to individuals, groups, and professionals throughout the greater Los Angeles area and Northern California.
