Renate Kerris has worked with youth and their families over 40 years in the fields of education and therapy. She holds a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in family systems and her MFT license qualifies her to do relationship therapy with individuals (adults, teens, and children), couples, and families. She has been in practice since 1993 and is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

  • As a school counselor, she developed expertise in helping teens and their parents with issues in regard to adolescent development, communication, parenting, and school collaboration.
  • Additional professional education has included children's therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, grief counseling, cancer support, and dream work.
  • As a private practice clinician in Life Counseling Group, she provides a sliding fee scale of $60-$100 per session based on income and ability to pay.  She is also provider for several managed care insurance groups.
  • Additionally, she is working as a cancer support group facilitator at the Wellness Community-Foothills, Pasadena ,CA .
